Tiger Woods is back in the game and must have been told by his sponsor to 'just do it' - an ad, that is, for Nike. In the commercial the golfer looks remorsefully into the camera as his father Earl Woods lectures him on his recent behavior. Nike will be airing the ad on ESPN and the Golf Channel during the Masters this week. While other brands including Accenture and AT&T have dropped Woods as an endorser, Nike has stood by him.
With a 'big boys don't cry' attitude Nike typically hasn't shied away from mentioning athletes' troubles in its ads in the past. The company has stuck by other athletes with personal problems, who could forget basketball star Charles Barkley's spot, when he famously said he shouldnt' be a role model!
ISH'll say! What do you think?
