Bruce Beresford-Redman, the executive producer and co-creator of MTV's Pimp My Ride, and a former producer of Survivor is a person of interest in the murder of his wife. On Thursday, Beresford-Redman's wife Monica Beresford-Redman was found dead in a sewer at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico, where the family was vacationing. A witness at the hotel told police they saw the couple arguing on April 4th and the producer was reportedly seen with scratches on his body. While the cause of death has not yet been determined, Beresford-Redman is under investigation for strangling his wife.
The parents of the producer have been awarded temporary guardianship of the couple’s two children - Camila, 5, and Alec, 3 - who were vacationing with the couple.
