Dancing With The Stars: Tony Quits Kate! But Unlike Jon, Comes Back!

Ouch! More than just toes got stepped on last night on the second episode of DWTS. Celebrities fighting with their professionals, lots of drama! Finally Judge Len Goodman told the celebrities to "turn up, keep up and shut up!"

And more than recapping the dancing, the meltdowns seem more indicative of who will triumph. Shannen Doherty pleaded with partner Mark Ballas to give her more simple choreography, but he didn't comply and she did well in her jive.

Aiden Turner pitched a fit in rehearsal, saying he "can't concentrate when Edyta is mean to him." This caused Edyta to retreat to the next room until he apologized. Was it too little, too late? -- by the looks of Turner's fox-trot it was!

Evan Lysachek is a big boy and he didn't cry. The Olympic Gold Medalist and Anna's jive was "greased lightning." according to Bruno Tonioli.

Niecy Nash grumbled a bit, but ultimately listened to Louis Van Amstel and had Len calling her a "revelation," while Bruno described the comedienne as being "light and frothy like a strawberry milkshake."

Jake Pavelka got very testy with Chelsie Hightower, but she didn't back down and Mr. Romance received some praise for his "energy."

Buzz Aldrin knows how to follow orders, so although he and Ashly had lower scores, they were praised for a fox-trot that would inspire others to dance.

Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls put all her trust in her teacher Derek Hough, and blew the lid off the show with the first two tens of the season.

Erin Andrews playfully taunted her teacher Maks in rehearsal but ultimately followed his advice. And the judges praised her "natural elegance" and called the ESPN sportscaster a "lyrical dancer."

Pamela Anderson is a good student, she trusted her partner Damian Whitewood and was praised for her channeling of Marilyn Monroe in her fox-trot.

Chad Ochocino wasn't so much a prima a donna-- his reason for not doing well, he was just too busy flirting with his instructor Cheryl.

But Kate Gosselin driving the ever patient and perhaps the nicest dance partner on the show, Tony Dovolani over the edge was something else. Kate was telling him how to teach. This took passive-aggressive to a new level. This was DRAMA... Tony said "I quit," and she says, "I don't get it." "He can't quit," she says. And, of course, she is right.

So, Tony comes back, and no amount of mea culpas can save the catastrophe on the dance floor. Kate was awful in her jive. Bruno used the word "nightmare" to describe her performance -- and says she moves like a "Stepford wife."

Moral of DWTS, as Len Goodman says "turn up, keep up and shut up!"

ISH gets it!
