Katherine Heigl checks out of "Grey's Anatomy" after six seasons. ABC confirmed Wednesday that Heigl's last apperance on the medical hit series aired Janurary 21, 2010.
The network says that Heigl's tenure as Dr. Izzy Stevens was a "mutual agreement." Heigl asked to be let out of her contract 18 months prior to tend to her new adoptive daughter, Naleigh who has a heart condition.
The 31 year old actress and mother is married to singer-songwriter Josh Kelly.
