
Dennis Hopper received the 2,403th star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame this morning. The 73-year-old actor, was surrounded by friends and family today while he graciously spoke to the crowd on Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Egyptian Theater.
Before taking the stage, Hopper listened to tributes from actor Viggo Mortensen and film producer Mark Canton. Also in attendance were Easy Rider co-star Jack Nicholson and Blue Velvet director David Lynch who spoke affectionately of the actor to the press. Friends and family recounted his unforgettable performances in films from Rebel Without A Cause to his recent turn on the Starz TV series Crash.
Although weakened by his prostate cancer, which he revealed to the public in October, Hopper looked thrilled to be there.
