IDOL UPDATE: SHANIA'S BACK, SIMON'S LOVE, CRYSTAL'S PAIN & 45 MILLION RAISED!

ISH is finally feeling love for Simon, what's up with that? Now that Cowell has given his notice, he actually has turned into a sentimental kind of guy. When Casey James finished his Twain song Don't Cowell seemed moved and sent Casey over to kiss Shania for making it his best performance ever - maybe the newly engaged judge is finally embracing love.

The night started on a high note when Ryan Seacrest announced that in this economy Idol Gives Back was able to raise $45 million last week.

Shania Twain gave some great mentoring this week. Getting Lee DeWyze to open "You're Still the One", one of ISH's favorite Twain songs with just piano, really made the song, as always a great performance.

Michael Lynche, It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing, elicited a response from Randy that there's a "big space" for him in the music world, he was compared to Luther Vandross.

The response from the judges on Crystal Bowersox's No One Needs to Know put the usual favorite on the defensive with the panel. Also we got to actually see her baby-daddy, who she says "will man up (and marry her) one day!" Simon said it was "limp and forgettable", and turned to Twain to tell her it was one of his least favorite songs of hers, which ISH agrees with, oh my, agreeing with Simon!

Is Aaron Kelly like a really old soul or what? You've Got a Way was incredibly moving. Simon said Aaron sounded like a different artist, in a good way.

Siobhan Magnus, sang Any Man of Mine "it's all about attitude", Twain said. Randy loved the "punk/country look", Kara said "Siobhan is back"! Simon said the end sounded like Siobhan was giving birth.
