Celebrity Apprentice: Seinfeld Lets Leifer Down But Not Trump!

"Seinfeld" writer Carol Leifer was the first one fired on "The Celebrity Apprentice". The women's team which is called Tenacity lost to the men's team Rock Solid in the first task of season nine. It's all about raising the most money for charity , so Trump asked how much money Leifer had brought in, and he was told not much. "Did you call Jerry?" asked Donald-- Leifer said her former boss was out of town and couldn't help her out. Not bringing in the bucks along with calling her teammates "dumb" seemed to be the clincher for the comedienne/writer.
Kind hearted Project Manager Cyndi Lauper wouldn't throw anyone under the bus so Trump fired Leifer without the usual formality of bringing two team members and the project manager back into the boardroom. But before the self-professed "Jewish woman with a mouth" could leave she asked Trump for a donation to her favorite charity. Trump anted up ten thousand dollars personally for The North Shore Animal Rescue - leaving Leifer to say "he's number one in my book!" So where does that leave her former boss Jerry Seinfeld? Spoiler Alert The star of VH1's Rock of Love told Regis and Kelly, on "Live With Regis & Kelly", "if you want to see me on Celebrity Apprentice, tune in early." But Bret Michaels won the first task on the premiere of Celebrity Apprentice taking in a hundred thousand dollars for his charity, so why would he be fired --insiders hint that it's because he keeps arriving late, a little reminiscent of a former pro basketball player in season seven (Rodman)? Celebrity Apprentice airs on NBC, Sundays 9/8C

American Idol's Ellen Jumps The Desk & Kara Breaks Down!

Men's Night On Idol - For the first time in the history of the show, a judge left the desk to give a contestant a hug. Ellen De Generes felt so badly about beating up contestant Tim Urban the last few weeks that after his performance of Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah she ran up to him on stage and gave him a huge hug. The men in general had a pretty good night. Except for one of the show's early favorites Andrew Garcia, who hasn't been able to match his Straight Up performance before the Live Shows began.
Then the show closed on an amazing performance This Woman's Work by Michael Lynche - Randy called it dope and told Maxwell to watch out that Big Mike is knocking on his door. Ellen told Lynche, that he's now the one to beat. And Kara confessed she'd never cried after hearing something like that, she attributed it to Mike's respect for his wife's (she was in the audience) giving birth recently. Finally, Simon professed to Michael, that he had one hundred percent nailed it, and proclaimed that it wasn't just the best performance of the night but the best performance of all the live shows so far! Is Simon finding his softer, sweeter side since becoming engaged to make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy!

The Bachelor- The Final Rose Won't Wilt

Much like many American sports' teams are extending their seasons it's becoming the way of ABC's The Bachelor franchise. Just when you thought they had handed out the "final rose", more episodes keep popping up. The Bachelor: Jason and Molly's Wedding, then this season's bachelor Jake Pavelka winds up on Dancing With The Stars, following in the footsteps, literally, of last season's Melissa Rycroft. Perhaps, the ABC Evening News will find one of the bachelors sitting at the anchor desk soon.

Teen Idol Corey Haim is dead at 38!

Another young actor is dead before his time!Teen heartthrob Corey Haim has passes away at the age of 38.Haim died at 2:15 a.m. on Wednesday March 10, 2010 of an apparent accidental overdose. The official cause of death will be determined by an autopsy, according to the Los Angeles Coroner's office.Haim was found unresponsive inside the Oakwood apartments, between Burbank and the Hollywood Hills. Helicopters are still circling the apartment complex that is just around the corner from me. He was at home with his mother at the time. His poor mother! This must be quite possibly the most tragic news for a parent. How do we keep our kids off of drugs? It’s not just the illegal ones you have to worry about these days either. Prescription drug overdoses are at an all time high. And from Anna Nicole Smith to Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy and now allegedly Corey -- this trend in Hollywood is becoming all to familiar.Haim was officially pronounced dead Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center in Burbank. The 80's idol had a history of drug addiction and most recently appeared on television with fellow teen sensation, Corey Feldman in the A&E show "The Two Corey’s," that aired from 2007 - 2008. Both the Corey's came on my show TV Watercooler (on TV Guide Network) in 2008, putting on a united front though admitting to a past of feuding over the years. Haim seemed to be in good spirits and talked about the Lost Boys sequel, although only Feldman ultimately starred in it.Haim became an 80's teen sensation after appearing in the 1986 film "Lucas" and 1987's "The Lost Boys," which also starred Corey Feldman. No comment has been made by Feldman at this time. Poor Feldman - first Michael Jackson, now this!Rest in peace, Corey Haim!!

Martin & Baldwin Slip It To Oscar

The new comedy team of Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin were so slick as co-hosts on the 82nd Academy Awards that they slipped 41 million viewers world wide some old time Hollywood camp. With an entrance right out of a Busby Berkley movie and oh so many "It's So Hollywood" sayings, that we here at ISH were all a tingle.

What two lines epitomize more of the shallowness that we've come to love in tinseltown than Alec Baldwin saying - "The Academy Awards- the biggest night in Hollywood since last night", or Steve Martin's- "Please welcome my longtime dear friend, and by that I mean I've never met her Sandra Bullock."
