It was a day of New York hip hop, actually Brooklyn, which was a recurring theme with the main stage headliners. Both Jay-Z and LCD Soundsystem, got the crowd singing in homage to their Brooklyn hoods. Check out the madness!

TO JAY-Z SIZE MEANS EVERYTHING! ASK COA-"CHILLIANS"!
It wasn't enough that Jay-Z kicked off the opening day of Coachella Music and Arts Festival in the California desert, but he brought his arena sized stage and oh yeah, his wife Beyonce.
