THE "HOUSEWIVES" STAND BY THEIR MAN IN NICOLLETTE DISPUTE!

The "Housewives" are defending show creator Marc Cherry in a joint statement Tuesday, responding to Nicollette Sheridan's lawsuit accusing him of allegedly hitting her on the set in 2008.

"It would be irresponsible of us to let the public believe that being part of this show from its inception has been anything but a blessing," said Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman.
In reply to Sheridan's $20 million lawsuit against Cherry, it also states; "We have no first-hand knowledge of what Nicollette may or may not have experienced, but we would never characterize our set as a hostile environment. It is, in fact, the opposite. The friendship and support that Marc Cherry, the cast, the crew and the producershave shared for the past six years have made this a wonderful job that we are grateful for every day."

The statement also addresses Nicollette's mention of Teri Hatcher feeling "concerned" in her lawsuit "inappropriate" and "unauthorized."

Something tells me there will be a lot more to this 'DESPERATE' DRAMA!
